<\/a>The Metro Mass Transit (MMT) has started the installation of speed limit devices on all of its long distance buses as part of moves to promote travelers safety.<\/p>\nA press statement signed by the Head of the Company\u2019s Communications unit, Mr E. Boadi-Misa, at the end of a day\u2019s visit to the Kumasi Depot by the MMT management, said they were eager to prevent accidents caused by over-speeding.<\/p>\n
The statement noted that although \u201cacts of nature could hardly be controlled\u201d it was also a fact that some of them were avoidable.<\/p>\n
It appealed for cooperation from passengers to achieve the goal.<\/p>\n
The statement underlined the determination of the Board and Management to adopt safe and efficient systems of operations, and\u00a0 reminded drivers about the need to be more alert and cautious, particularly as the Christmas season approached.<\/p>\n
The company also pledged its continued cooperation with the government towards the successful implementation of the Bus Transit System to bring relief to passengers.<\/p>\n
