By doing so, business, as a primary driver of globalization, can help ensure that markets, commerce, technology and finance advance in ways that benefit economies and societies everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Network was established in July, 2002 and serves as a focal point of co-ordination and communication for its members with its key goals of promoting the Global Compact principles throughout Ghana; enabling participants to share and exchange practice, experience as well as promoting and supporting the Global Compact worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>To increase corporate impact and private sector commitment UNDP Ghana, the UNDP Nordic Office and the Confederation of Danish Industries (DI) with support from DANIDA are funding a project to strengthen the sustainability of the Global Compact Ghana Network.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong><a title=\"Job\" href=\"http:\/\/joblistghana.com\">Job<\/a> Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Accra, Ghana (Ghana Chamber of Mines)<br \/><strong>Type of Contract:\u00a0<\/strong>Service Contract<br \/><strong>Languages Required:<\/strong>\u00a0English<br \/><strong>Duration of Initial Contract:\u00a0<\/strong>One Year<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<br \/><\/strong>Under the direct supervision of the Network Representative and project partners from DI and UNDP, the Network Coordinator will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as a company contact for the Global Compact Network Ghana (GCNG):<\/li>\n<li>Organize and coordinate participation, learning, and outreach events for network members;<\/li>\n<li>Administrate GCNG database and oversee content and design quality;<\/li>\n<li>Offer support to companies and Network members with daily enquiries;<\/li>\n<li>Follow up network members to ensure they meet requirements for the annual Communication on Progress (COP) by due dates;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee needs assessment surveys and annual general meetings for the network;<\/li>\n<li>Keep an updated COP assistance kit and offer companies limited assistance with COP requirements;<\/li>\n<li>Identify potential members from GCNG corporate performers and pursue recruitment;<\/li>\n<li>Keep updated standard procedure and step-by-step guidelines on sign up process for the Global Compact;<\/li>\n<li>Upload international links to the Global Compact website and keep the website updated;<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate stakeholder and steering committee meetings for the GCNG<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate CSR training for company focal points;<\/li>\n<li>Organize mentorship workshops for members;<\/li>\n<li>Develop and publish publicity material for the network including brochures, newsletter and other network publications;<\/li>\n<li>Any other tasks as may be delegated by project partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree in humanities and\/or social sciences, particularly, Economics, Business Studies and\/or Communication<\/li>\n<li>An interest in assisting companies with\u00a0Corporate Responsibility-awareness and implementation<\/li>\n<li>A flair for writing and events management will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of three years relevant work experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Application should be forwarded in sealed envelope clearly marked\u00a0<strong>\u201cCoordinator \u2013 Global Compact Ghana Network\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>to the following address:<\/p>\n<div><strong>The Chairperson<br \/>Global Compact Ghana Network<br \/>Ghana Chamber of Mines<br \/># 22 Sir Arku Korsah Road, Airport Residential Area<br \/>P.
