{"id":489239,"date":"2011-10-11T17:17:37","date_gmt":"2011-10-11T17:17:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/10\/11\/national-lottery-authority-temporally-withdraws-two-lottery-products\/"},"modified":"2011-10-11T17:17:37","modified_gmt":"2011-10-11T17:17:37","slug":"national-lottery-authority-temporally-withdraws-two-lottery-products","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/10\/11\/national-lottery-authority-temporally-withdraws-two-lottery-products\/","title":{"rendered":"National Lottery Authority temporally withdraws two lottery products"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>You Are Here: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ghanabusinessnews.com\">Home<\/a> \u00bb <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ghanabusinessnews.com\/category\/general-news\/\" title=\"View all posts in General News\" rel=\"category tag\">General News<\/a> \u00bb National Lottery Authority temporally withdraws two lottery products<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span>Page last updated at Tuesday, October 11, 2011 17:17 PM \/\/ <\/span><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ghanabusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Lotto.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-63648\" title=\"Lotto\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanabusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Lotto.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"248\" height=\"210\" \/><\/a>The National Lottery Authority (NLA) on Tuesday said it was temporally withdrawing the \u2018Mobi-Game jackpot\u2019 and \u2018Mobi-Game 2sure\u2019 products.<\/p>\n<p>The move is to enable the authority to repackage the two products to make it more rewarding and exciting to its customers.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Regan Twum-Barimah, Brands Strategy and Communication Manager, told the GNA that the decision was to enable the Authority to also meet the changing technological forms currently taking place in the lottery business.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Twum-Barimah said a date for the re-launch of the games would be communicated to the public soon.<\/p>\n<p>Throwing more light on the issue, Mr Twum-Barimah said the Authority would have its last draw for the two games on Friday October 14.<\/p>\n<p>He said all text numbers sent to the Mobi-Game jackpot short code 1384 and Mobi-Game 2sure short code 1383 after the official closing date on Thursday October 13 would be rejected by short the code platform (the system).<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the issue had been discussed among the telecommunication companies and therefore the two short codes of the games would not be available after Friday October 14.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Twum-Barimah appealed to players of the two games to use any of the authority\u2019s automated products.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2008, the Mobi-Game 2sure is a lottery product patronised through texting.
