A die hard member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Asemfofro has disclosed that he prefers being famous to being rich.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
Although a staunch traditionalist, Asemfofro said he believes in the biblical adage that a \u201cgood is name is better than riches\u201d so he would rather wallow in poverty and be popular.<\/p>\n
Dr Asemfofro who is an outspoken NDC activist and has been known to be very critical of the government sometimes said he loves his current status where he is known by everybody to being rich in obscurity.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
Asemfofro was a guest on Adom FM\u2019s mid morning programme, Work and Happiness when host of the show, Jerry Justice asked his response to the topic of the day: \u201cWhether one would prefer to be rich and not be famous or be famous and not be rich.\u201d <\/p>\n
He stated that although he is not affluent, he is famous because he is recognized anywhere he goes in public adding that he sometimes even dominates news headlines which is a big deal.<\/p>\n
He borrowed lyrics of a song from highlife legend, Abrantie Amakye Dede that \u2018man was born to attain fame but not to live forever\u2019 to buttress his point that having fame is important in one\u2019s life.<\/p>\n
He said it only becomes worrisome when someone uses foul means to gain popularity stating that his was won through hard work and perseverance. <\/p>\n
