That is why we want to provide opportunities for the young ones to be employed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Further he said, \u201cThe problem again is that 38 to 40 per cent of the unemployed population is unemployable and that is where you, NDE, comes in with your skill acquisition centres, one of which you came to inspect at Onicha-Ugbo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Governor Uduaghan said the state government has many skill acquisition centres, including a joint one with UNICEF in Sapele, and was developing a new one inUgbokodo, near Warri in conjunction with UNDP.<\/p>\n<p>The governor also spoke on his vision to industrialize the state, adding that investors from Saudi Arabia and India visited the state, during the week, to inspec the $16 billion petrochemical and fertilizer plants, expected to create about 500,000 jobs in the state.<\/p>\n<p>He said the state Independent Power Plant, IPP, project at Oghara was on course and that the government was working on other critical infrastructures that would generate employment for the people.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Comments are moderated.
