John Kumah is reported to have inferred last week on an Accra-based radio station, Asempa FM, during a political discussion that President John Evans Atta Mills is gay, a claim he has consistently denied. He was arrested whiles entering the studios of another Accra based radio station, Hot FM for another political discussion program, but was release a few minutes later by the police based on directives by President Mills.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have known him for more than 15 years now, and so I am very disappointed about how Mr. Kumah is turning out\u2026 he is becoming a bad example for how young people should engage in our political discourse. The comments he made I cannot even repeat them… Clearly our politics is increasingly becoming disgusting and the verbal pornography has reached an epoch that many decent people are wondering whether they should ever join politics because in the name of politics there is character assassination, no respect for truth and the values our decent society looks up to is lost\u2026,\u201d Okudzeto Ablakwa said.<\/p>\n
