Manchester City<\/a>\u2019s new record signing Sergio Aguero<\/a> has targeted silverware in his first season in England.<\/span><\/p>\n

City completed the signing of the Argentinian from Atletico Madrid a five-year-contract for a record \u00a335 million including add-ons.<\/span><\/p>\n

And the 23-year-old revealed he was lured to the Eastlands side by the opportunity of winning trophies.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I think they Manchester City players are great players and a great team. I think I am playing with one of the best English teams so I\u2019m really happy. There are many things that can be achieved,” he told reporters ahead of the Dublin Super Cup.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I always play to win many titles and hopefully it will be a trophy year and hopefully get some titles.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Aguero revealed he is settling quickly into his new surroundings, as manager Roberto Mancini revealed he could feature against rivals Manchester United in the Charity Shield next weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I\u2019m very happy to be here,” he added. “I\u2019m enjoying my time with my colleagues here today. I\u2019m just looking forward to playing and moving forward.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Playing in the Copa America for Argentina I wasn\u2019t thinking about playing for different clubs, my agents were doing all the work. I\u2019m very interested in playing here it\u2019s a growing club and I hope it will help me grow as well and that we can grow together.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
