ASABA \u2013 DEFUNCT Biafra warlord and former Secretary-General of apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation,\u00a0 Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Chief Joseph Achuzia, yesterday,\u00a0 threw his weight behind President Goodluck Jonathan\u2019s proposal of a single six-year tenure, saying it was the most apt thing to do at this time.

Achuzia, who spoke to Vanguard in an interview said, \u201cAs far as I am concerned, there is nothing wrong with his proposal, it is a good development, you know the greatest problem in the country is that of succession and the amendment he is seeking will cure the problem.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said what the President was seeking was not tenure elongation as some people had erroneously implied, but something that will come into force after his tenure of office.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
