Rumours linking Michael Turner with a move away from Sunderland<\/a><\/abbr> to Premiership rivals Bolton have been flatly denied by Black Cats boss Steve Bruce.<\/p>\n

Bruce admits he is looking to offload the likes of Matt Kilgallon, George McCartney and Nyron Nosworthy, but he insists he has no plans to lose Turner.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are players we\u2019d like to move on, but Michael definitely does not fall into that category,\u201d Bruce told the Northern Echo.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI think we all know who I\u2019m talking about \u2013 Nyron Nosworthy, Matt Kilgallon and George McCartney all need to go and play somewhere.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re the ones who we\u2019ll look to move on, but none of my first-team squad and certainly not Michael Turner. I want all of our big players to stay.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe thing about Michael is that he\u2019s a big lad and he\u2019s been out for a long time. It\u2019s fair to say that he still needs more games, but he\u2019s coming back from a serious knee injury and it\u2019s important that we don\u2019t rush him.\u201d<\/p>\n
