David Beckham<\/a><\/abbr> says he owes Sir Alex Ferguson<\/a><\/abbr> so much for helping him forge such a brilliant playing career.<\/p>\n

The 36-year old LA Galaxy<\/a><\/abbr> star joined Manchester United<\/a><\/abbr> in 1991 as a 16-year old and went on to make close to 300 appearances for the club, including six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and one Champions League trophy.<\/p>\n

Beckham, who went on to play with Real Madrid<\/a><\/abbr> and AC Milan<\/a><\/abbr> (on loan), told media after he captained the MLS<\/a><\/abbr> All-Stars to a 4-0 loss to United that Ferguson is the man who helped him get where is today.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t be in the situation I am today if it wasn\u2019t for [Ferguson],\u201d Beckham said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI owe him a lot. There\u2019s no other team like [Manchester United<\/a><\/abbr>] in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
