The Director of Studies,Bethany Hall Nursery and Primary school has declared that it is high time schools begins to educate kids beyond the four wall of the classroom for better development of child education in the country.

Anyafulu made this declaration recently, during the schools annual valedictory service and price given day held recently at the schools premises in Lagos.

Speaking with her, she said that educating the child is not just about reading and writing alone, rather the kids need to be engaged in various vocational studies, noting that one can never know what act they might be very good at.

According to her, ” Educational system in Nigeria is getting much better than what it used to be before, but the problem is that there is no much emphases on the total development of a child.

In order words, what we do is that when we catch them young like this we try as much as possible to expose them to lots of things like music, instruments, dance and other extracurricular activities including Computer and information technology.”

She also said that haven engaged the children in these said extracurricular activities, they have been able to detect the ills and strength of the children. “My Children are very good in information technology and they are the best right now in Nigeria.

Most of them are Microsoft Office Certified. If you go online you will see them all there. The exam is suppose to be for undergraduates and graduates but at the age 9 and 10, my kids were able to sit for the exam and passed.

So parents and teachers really need to bring out time to educate their kids beyond classrooms and as well try as much as possible to expose them to other creative education to better enhance their knowledge as well as provide them with another platform to explore.” She said.
