Cameroon’s Embassy in China has published a special magazine on 40 years of Cameroon-China relations and the country’s development perspectives.<\/p>\n

President Paul Biya of Cameroon and wife, Chantal Biya, begin the fifth visit to the People’s Republic of China today July 20 at the time the two countries are celebrating forty years of fruitful bilateral relations established on March 26, 1971. Officials of the Cameroon Embassy in Beijing, China have published a special magazine, “Lookwe”, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Cameroon and the People’s Republic of China.<\/p>\n

“The special edition portrays the major achievements of the past forty years of cooperation and provides the reader and those who wish to contribute to the success of this partnership in the future with basic information on Cameroon’s development perspectives” Cameroon’s Ambassador to China, Martin Mpana said in the editorial note. The first part of the 42-page magazine written in English and Chinese, focuses on Cameroon-China cooperation with the hallmark being the exchange of high level visits.<\/p>\n

The magazine highlights major achievements of the mutually-beneficial and fruitful cooperation ties in the political, economic, social, cultural and sports sectors. It also paints a complete picture of Cameroon starting from the country profile, to the cultural, tourism and sports attractions. The most important presentation is Cameroon’s long-term development Vision 2035, whose main objective is to make Cameroon an emerging country. Cameroon, the magazine states, has investment incentives to woo foreign investors. The One-stop Shop for the creation of companies, an attractive Investment Code and efforts to make the investment climate more conducive, are some of the points of attractions. The magazine serves as an opportunity to exhibit Cameroon’s investment potentials.<\/p>\n

Cameroon’s Ambassadors who have served in China since the establishment of diplomatic relations 40 years ago are presented. The embassy in Beijing and the staff are also presented.<\/p>\n
