{"id":463967,"date":"2011-07-19T11:27:00","date_gmt":"2011-07-19T11:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/07\/19\/nigeria-blackmail-of-oghiadomen-will-not-stop-us-tenebe\/"},"modified":"2011-07-19T11:27:00","modified_gmt":"2011-07-19T11:27:00","slug":"nigeria-blackmail-of-oghiadomen-will-not-stop-us-tenebe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/07\/19\/nigeria-blackmail-of-oghiadomen-will-not-stop-us-tenebe\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria: Blackmail of Oghiadomen Will Not Stop Us &#8211; Tenebe"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"38.5935483871\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.independentngonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Daily Independent<\/a> (Lagos)<\/p>\n<p>Tony Ezimakor<\/p>\n<p>18 July 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Abuja \u2014 Chairman of the parallel Nigeria Football Association (NFA ) Jarret Tenebe has warned the Nigeria Football Federation board under Aminu Maigari that no amount of blackmail against the Mike Oghaidomen, Chief of Staff of the Presidnt will halt the determination of his group to chase them out of the glasshouse.<\/p>\n<p>The NFF has severally accused the Chief of staff of sponsoring the NFA interim committee but Tenebe maintained the illegal NFF is acting like a drowning man that will cling to any straw, vowing to stop at nothing until the body is eased out of office.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during a chat with journalists in Abuja Tenebe said Maigari and his men have no defence to the issues raised by both the National Association of Nigerian Footballers (NANF) but has instead resorted to blackmailing everybody in government to get by.<\/p>\n<p>He maintained that the Chief of Staff has more pressing matters to be involved in the battle between football stakeholders adding that NFF under Migari is busy destroying the game while blackmailing even experienced schedule officers like Patrick Ekeji.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Chief of Staff should be left of the football matters. Nobody should drag him into the murky water of football politics&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Tenebe insists that the approach adopted by Maigari and his men to trade on blackmail as a way out of overwhelming evidence against it can only last for a moment as the truth will always prevail.<\/p>\n<p>He maintained that Oghiadome is the political leader of his ( Tenebe) senatorial zone whom he has been working with politically several years back and argued that the man is too busy that he hardly has time for his immediate family.<\/p>\n<p>The NFA interim board chairman also noted that the Chief of Staff is a man who cannot be influenced by friends or family members in taking decisions and noted further that besides the political inclination as the leader of Edo North senatorial district he does not go to him for anything.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Like I have said earlier, Chief Oghiadomen is the leader of Edo North Senatorial district where I belong He gives instructions and we carry them out. But that is in politics which has nothing to do with football. I am too big to run to anybody to assist me in the fight I know I have won.
