{"id":461705,"date":"2011-07-15T14:13:34","date_gmt":"2011-07-15T14:13:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/07\/15\/namibia-carol-garoes-at-it-again\/"},"modified":"2011-07-15T14:13:34","modified_gmt":"2011-07-15T14:13:34","slug":"namibia-carol-garoes-at-it-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/07\/15\/namibia-carol-garoes-at-it-again\/","title":{"rendered":"Namibia: Carol Garo\u00ebs At It Again"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"37.7472472472\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newera.com.na\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/allafrica.com\/img\/static\/publishers\/minibanners\/newera180.jpg\" alt=\"New Era (Windhoek)\" title=\"Visit New Era (Windhoek)\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Carlos Kambaekwa<\/p>\n<p>14 July 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Windhoek \u2014 The All Namibia Netball Associations (ANNA) boss Lydia Kandetu is spitting venom at her disgruntled predecessor, former President, Carol Garo\u00ebs.<\/p>\n<p>The Iron Lady of Namibian netball is at the centre of a storm brewing over Namibia&#8217;s alleged participation in a continental tournament to be hosted by Ghana this year.<\/p>\n<p>ANNA President Kandetu says her executive got wind that Garo\u00ebs has tip-toed to a number of individual netballers to solicit interest for their inclusion in the Namibian team for her West African sojourn.<\/p>\n<p>Garo\u00ebs was unseated during a hotly contested election in Otjiwarongo last year that saw Kandetu overwhelmingly voted into the position of President following the intervention by the then Minister of Youth, National Service, Sports and Culture Reverend Willem Konjore.
