Kasoa (C\/R), July 14, GNA \u2013 The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, on Wednesday arrived at Kasoa to start a three-day listening tour of some constituencies the Central Region.<\/p>\n
Before his arrival at Kasoa in the Awutu-Senya constituency, a large gathering of NPP supporters clad in party colors and paraphernalia danced to music and drumming, he finally arrived at about 1100 hours and met the chiefs and people of the Zongo Community.<\/p>\n
After listening to the people, Nana Akufo-Addo urged them to vote for him during the 2012 elections to improve their lot.<\/p>\n
He said that it is not true that the party, when voted into power will sack the people at Zongo community from the country.<\/p>\n
Nana Akufo-Addo said such utterances and statements are being made to tarnish the image of the NPP to the Zongo people.<\/p>\n
He urged the Zongo Community to support the party because the \u201cNPP is a loyal party that seeks the interest of all persons living in the country irrespective of their color or religion.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nana Akufo-Addo said education and job creation are his topmost priorities when voted to power in the 2012 elections.<\/p>\n
He also said that when elected president he will \u201cintroduce free education from pre-school to the Senior High School.<\/p>\n
The chief of Kasoa Zongo, Alhaji Seidu Yusifi Abudulai wished Nana Akufo-Addo good luck in the elections and appealed to him that if elected president, he should ensure that people whose buildings were demolished at the old Kasoa Market are compensated.<\/p>\n
Nana Akufo-Addo and his entourage later visited Ofakor, Bawjiase, Obrachire, Bontrase, Awutu Bereku and Senya Bereku where he interacted with the chiefs and a cross-section of the people.<\/p>\n
Nana Akufo-Addo was accompanied by some members of his campaign team and the Central Regional constituency executives of the party.<\/p>\n
