{"id":453098,"date":"2011-07-04T11:08:24","date_gmt":"2011-07-04T11:08:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/07\/04\/zuma-in-talks-in-russia-over-libya\/"},"modified":"2011-07-04T11:08:24","modified_gmt":"2011-07-04T11:08:24","slug":"zuma-in-talks-in-russia-over-libya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/07\/04\/zuma-in-talks-in-russia-over-libya\/","title":{"rendered":"Zuma in Talks in Russia Over Libya"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"20.2234080398\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.buanews.gov.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BuaNews<\/a> (Tshwane)<\/p>\n<p>3 July 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Pretoria \u2014 President Jacob Zuma is in Russia for a meeting on Libya hosted by the International Contact Group on Libya.<\/p>\n<p>On his working visit the President will participate in the meeting in his capacity as a member of the African Union&#8217;s Ad hoc High Level Committee on Libya mandated by the African Union Peace and Security Council to engage the opposing parties in Libya in order to find a peaceful and lasting solution to the current conflict.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;President Zuma&#8217;s participation to the meeting follows the invitation extended to him as the member of African Union Ad hoc High Level Committee on Libya by the Russian Federation,&#8221; said the Department of International Relations and Cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday President Zuma along with other AU leaders attended a summit that focused on the leadership crises in Libya, Sudan and Somalia, as well as accelerating youth empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>There has been mounting calls for Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to leave office.
