The shilling has rallied 3.407% since setting an intra day low of 91.95 Wednesday last.Trading had a Friday feel with the bourse trading with Equity Turnover of 195.499m versus 250.017m last time.<\/p>\n<p>The NSE20 fell 25.18 points to close at 3943.94 making that -11.0333% in 2011. The Nairobi All Share fell 0.49 points to close at 90.86.<\/p>\n<p>Market Cap was 1.115343 trillion versus 1.12144 trillion last time. KenolKobil closed at 5 year+ closing high today which is a bullish outcome in a market that is -11.0333% in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>In Agriculture, Williamson Tea turned 1.877% higher to close at 217.00 and traded 2,500 shares. Williamson trades on a 2.251 Trailing PE, which is plain egregious. Kapchorua closed unchanged at 135.00 and has rallied 31.067% since 20th June and the release of its FY earnings. Kapchorua Tea trades on a 2.00 handle PE.<\/p>\n<p>In Commercial and Services, Safaricom did not manage to trade a million shares and this was one of the lowest turnover days for this counter, I have witnessed. Safaricom edged 1.265% lower to close at 3.90 and is being quite circumspect about pushing through 4.00, for now.<\/p>\n<p>TPS Serena traded 3rd at the bourse and firmed 0.75% to close at 67.50 and traded a 67.50-68.50 range and 436,200 shares worth 29.564m. TPS Serena has returned 42.725% over 1 year and trades on a 22.602 Trailing PE.<\/p>\n<p>Uchumi traded 4th at the bourse and surged 5.26% to close at 12.00 and traded an 11.50-12.05 range and 1.263m shares worth 15.153m. Uchumi was the biggest winner at the bourse. It returned end May at its suspension price of 14.50, promptly slumped 32.41% to a closing low of 9.80 (As some investors cashed in their chips &#8211; They had not been able to for more than 5 years) and has since rallied 22.44% from that 9.80 closing low.<\/p>\n<p>Among Banks, Equity Bank traded 2nd at the bourse and eased 0.97% to close at 25.50. Equity Bank trades on a 13.212 PE and has retreated 1.696% in 2011. The NSE20 Index is down just over 11%. KCB dipped 2.08% to close at 23.50 on low volume of 192,400 shares and Barclays Bank eased 0.581% to close at 17.10.<\/p>\n<p>In Industrial and Allied, KenolKobil rallied 3.043% to close at 11.85 which is a 5 year+ closing high. KenolKobil trades on a 9.816 PE and has rallied 27.419% since releasing a bullish 1st half earnings guidance last month.<\/p>\n<p>EABL was the most actively traded share at the bourse but closed unchanged at 195.00. EABL is -2.98% in 2011 having been +12.935% on 7th Jan and -19.40% when it closed at a 52 week low of 162.00 earlier this year. The recent unsolicited SABMiller bid for Fosters Beer confirms the strong macro demand for beer and beverage equity<\/p>\n<p>Kenya Power eased 1.16% to close at 21.25. KPLC trades on a 3.95 PE and has retreated 10.03% in 2011 largely in line with the NSE20. KenGen firmed 0.36% to close at 13.60 and retreated 20% in 2011.
