Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure has touted himself as the best on the local scene after been short-listed for the Sports Writers Association of Ghana Premiership Player of the season.<\/p>\n
The Ivorian is competing with Berekum Chelsea striker Emmanuel Clottey and New Edubiase captain Abubakar Mumuni for the award.<\/p>\n
Toure joined Kotoko for the second half of the season and helped catapult the club to a second-placed finish.<\/p>\n
Clottey scored 15 goals to hand Berekum Chelsea the league title and Mumuni emerged as the in all 30 matches for his side.<\/p>\n
But Toure believes he was head and shoulders above his rivals.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know I\u2019m the best at the moment on the local scene and I believe I will win the top individual prize,\u201d Toure said. \u201cThe season was pretty good for the club despite the fact that we didn\u2019t start on a good note, but I think the inclusion of the other players in the second round helped us a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
