Sebastian Larsson<\/a> has revealed his delight at joining Sunderland<\/a> and is looking forward to working with Steve Bruce<\/a> again.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Swede secured a move to the Stadium of Light after his contract at Birmingham City expired and is set to link up with the man who took him to St Andrews once again.<\/span><\/p>\n

He told the club\u2019s official website: “I’m delighted to be here and I’m looking forward to it.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Sunderland are a club going in the right direction – a massive club with huge support.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I’ve worked with the manager before and that made the decision easier as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

“This is a big challenge for me. I wanted to take the next step in my career and I feel like I’m doing that by coming here.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It was a disappointing end to last season but now I’m looking forward to a new challenge. Hopefully we can do really well and push on.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Larsson feels the transfer to the North East has come at the right time for him can\u2019t wait for the season to kick off.<\/span><\/p>\n

The former Arsenal-man joins Keiren Westwood, Connor Wickham, Ji Dong-Won and Craig Gardner in moving to the Black Cats this summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It felt like the right move for me. This is a big club with big ambitions and if things go well you never know how far it could go.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I always give 100% for the team. I like creating chances going forward and hopefully I can chip in with a few assists.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“It’s a great stadium with a great atmosphere and I’m looking forward to playing there in a Sunderland shirt,” he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I’m just really looking forward to playing for Sunderland. It was time for me to move on and find a new challenge.<\/span><\/p>\n

“When the interest from Sunderland came it was a fairly easy decision for me.”<\/span><\/p>\n
