{"id":451692,"date":"2011-07-01T12:30:02","date_gmt":"2011-07-01T12:30:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/07\/01\/namibia-cold-here-to-stay\/"},"modified":"2011-07-01T12:30:02","modified_gmt":"2011-07-01T12:30:02","slug":"namibia-cold-here-to-stay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/07\/01\/namibia-cold-here-to-stay\/","title":{"rendered":"Namibia: Cold Here to Stay"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"30.7666098807\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.namibian.com.na\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/allafrica.com\/img\/static\/publishers\/minibanners\/namibian180.jpg\" alt=\"The Namibian (Windhoek)\" title=\"Visit The Namibian (Windhoek)\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jana-Mari Smith<\/p>\n<p>29 June 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>NIGHT and early morning temperatures are expected to remain hovering around zero across the country for the next week.<\/p>\n<p>The Namibia Meteorological Service says temperatures will drop further today in the South as another cold front arrives.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Very cold temperatures&#8221; will remain across most parts of the country for the next five days, weather forecaster Olga Tjiueza said, especially at night and in the early morning hours.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, &#8220;temperatures will warm up slowly again,&#8221; Tjiueza said, but the &#8220;mild&#8221; weather will not last long.<\/p>\n<p>By Sunday another cold front will hit Namibia.<\/p>\n<p>Tjiueza warned that a &#8220;significant drop in temperatures&#8221; is expected in the south on Sunday, spreading further north later.<\/p>\n<p>The cold front will bring moisture along, and the extreme south could experience light showers.<\/p>\n<p>During the past week, Windhoek recorded minus seven degrees Celsius at the Hosea Kutako Airport.
