The very intelligent and multilingual actress who speaks French, Spanish and English spoke on how she met her husband and how he influenced her career in a recent interview.<\/p>\n
Excerpts from the interview;<\/p>\n
So how do you juggle being a wife, a mother, actress and a musician considering how tasking it is? Hmmmm by the grace of God I\u2019m doing a pretty good job! Also with the help of my lovely mother and family I have little worries and stress.<\/p>\n
You are one Ghana\u2019s beautiful actresses and your looks and fair skin makes one wonder if you are of mixed parentage? Yes I am, my father is a Lebanese, I am of a mixed race.<\/p>\n
So how does an extremely beautiful woman like you ward off advances from men?<\/p>\n
I think my wedding ring helps me do the talking(laughs).I haven\u2019t come across stubborn stalkers yet, had stalker years back and I had to involve the police till he stopped.<\/p>\n
How is marriage and motherhood treating you?<\/p>\n
I am doing wonderfully well, all thanks to God. It\u2019s been great so far.<\/p>\n
What makes Juliet Ibrahim stand out from other actresses?<\/p>\n
Who I am makes me stand out.<\/p>\n
My appearance amongst other actresses stands out, I don\u2019t have to blow my own horn, but Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez have nothing on me.<\/p>\n
What is your relationship with other actresses in Ghana and Nigeria?<\/p>\n
I talk to everyone who talks to me, I\u2019m a very friendly person and so down to earth so I click with everybody I meet.<\/p>\n
Who are your friends in Nollywood?<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t really have because when I come for work I always work and leave. But I\u2019m cool with a few people that I chat with on my blackberry messenger every now and then and that have helped me through my career, directors, producers and some colleagues.<\/p>\n
Apart from acting, and the latest addition music, what else do you do?<\/p>\n
I run a beauty parlour called Envoque, and a boutique called House of Glamour.<\/p>\n
What does your husband do?<\/p>\n
He is a pilot and a business man.<\/p>\n
How did you meet?<\/p>\n
We met some years ago on a plane, exchanged numbers and started talking but he was living in the USA then, so it was a long distance relationship and we became more serious and he moved back to Ghana 2 years back.<\/p>\n
We realized that we were in love and got married last year.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s always said that Ghanaian babes have bigger bums than Nigerian babes, what do you think explains this?<\/p>\n
(Laughs) I don\u2019t know about that because I don\u2019t look at ladies bums (laughs).But in Ghana most Ashanti\u2019s have big backsides. I\u2019m Lebanese but was born in Ghana. I got my backside from my mother\u2019s family that\u2019s the Liberian side.<\/p>\n
What\u2019s your view on the influx of near porn movies in Ghana?<\/p>\n
(Laughs) those kind of movies are not movies from well known producers they are done by some new and money conscious producers, that\u2019s why they are not tastefully done.<\/p>\n
If you watch quality productions movies you won\u2019t notice anything bad than what is been done in some foreign movies. Taste is what some people lack when shooting these movies.<\/p>\n
What movie are you working on at the moment?<\/p>\n
I\u2019m working with Silver line productions in a movie co-starring Frank Artus, Adjetey Anang, Nadia Buari, David Dontoh and Ekow Smith.<\/p>\n
Do you nurse the dream of featuring in a Hollywood movie?<\/p>\n
Every actor dreams of starring in a Hollywood movie so if I get the chance why not.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
