Said Abba, &#8220;in view of the importance of the the responsibility of the Police and other security and Law enforcement agencies during the period of the games, Rivers State Police Command has adequately prepared its personnel for the provision of effective security.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, our colleagues in the Armed Forces, the Army, Navy and Air Force as well as the Joint Task Force (JTF) have made robust deployment that would give the desired support the police and the state security services require to achieve the grand objective.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He said about 6,000 police personnel have been deployed for proper security of all participants at the festival.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He added, &#8220;for those who would not listen and choose the wrong path of planning to commit crime, let me reiterate with every sense of seriousness, the Police and other security agents have been directed to appropriately deal with you by exposing and arresting offenders&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>According to the National and Local Organising Committee, the games will be competed by participating states in the designatede venues.
