They know they have to deliver apart from flying the national flag, golf is also their job,&#8221; Akope said on Tuesday after UGC received Shs95m from KCB Bank as facilitation for hosting the showpiece.<\/p>\n<p>KCB Bank earlier this year disclosed a sponsorship package of Kshs8.7m (Shs243m) for the tour. The package includes a bonus for the best-placed professionals and a prize purse of Kshs1m (an estimated Shs27m) for the Pro-Am golfers that will be drawn from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda legs.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This tournament aims at promoting and maintaining the international standards of golf in the country and region at large,&#8221; said Martin Owiny, the KCB Uganda director.
