{"id":450187,"date":"2011-06-29T13:23:52","date_gmt":"2011-06-29T13:23:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/06\/29\/public-workers-in-ho-in-a-fix-as-june-salary-delays\/"},"modified":"2011-06-29T13:23:52","modified_gmt":"2011-06-29T13:23:52","slug":"public-workers-in-ho-in-a-fix-as-june-salary-delays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/06\/29\/public-workers-in-ho-in-a-fix-as-june-salary-delays\/","title":{"rendered":"Public workers in Ho in a fix as June salary delays"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"67.2693082606\">\n<p>You Are Here: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ghanabusinessnews.com\">Home<\/a> \u00bb <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ghanabusinessnews.com\/category\/general-news\/\" title=\"View all posts in General News\" rel=\"category tag\">General News<\/a> \u00bb Public workers in Ho in a fix as June salary delays<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span>Page last updated at Wednesday, June 29, 2011 13:13 PM \/\/ <\/span><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ghanabusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/cedi.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1038\" title=\"cedi\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanabusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/cedi.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"248\" height=\"210\" \/><\/a>Majority of public sector workers in Ho are in a fix as to when their June salaries would be paid.<\/p>\n<p>Since Monday, June 27, they have been calling at the various banking halls in anticipation of withdrawing their salaries but had to leave in disappointment.<\/p>\n<p>Officials at the National Development Bank (NIB) and the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) told the GNA on Wednesday that they had been paying the June salaries since Monday, June 27.<\/p>\n<p>Officials at the Unity Rural Bank also told the GNA that they had been paying salaries since June 24.<\/p>\n<p>Officials at the Regional Treasury likewise told the GNA that the June Payment Advice had been sent to all the banks and wondered why they were not paying the salaries.<\/p>\n<p>The Banks, which are yet to start payment of the salaries, are the main branch of the Ghana Commercial Bank and its two other Branches at Ho Polytechnic and RTC.<\/p>\n<p>The others are Barclays Bank, SG-SSB Bank, Zenith Bank and Stanbic Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Some officials at the Ghana Commercial Bank and Zenith Bank said though payment vouchers were in, the accounts were not credited.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pressure was heavy yesterday.
