He garnered 20 points in the first nine and shot another 20 in the second nine to brilliantly scoop the title. Nganga on his part, shot 19 and 20 in the first and second nine respectively. &#8220;I am very impressed with my performance and I am going to work harder for the future campaigns now that Dasani Gala is scheduled for August in Eldoret,&#8221; Ferej said, adding: &#8220;I was determined to carry the day and I am happy I started off very well. I owe my win to the good putting.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ng&#8217;anga on his part said: &#8220;The weather was perfect for a good golfer and this gave me the morale to play well. The fairways seemed shorter.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Eldoret Club&#8217;s Kamau Watunu, playing off handicap 13, and Tom Mutei (handicap 12) shot 36 and 35 points to settle for third and fourth places respectively. In the ladies category, Irene Pruker of Nandi Bears club shot an impressive 16 points in the first nine and 20 in the second nine to win in a total of 36 stable ford points.<\/p>\n<p>She was followed by Eldoret club lady captain Linda Shah, who shot 34 points, having collected 14 and 20 points in the first and second nine respectively. Guest winner prize went to Sanche Rodie with 36 points while Neel Shah took the guest runner-up prize.<\/p>\n<p>Annan Lakhani shot 21 points to win the first nine prize while the second nine went to Amar Jethro, who shot 21 points. Nearest to the pin prize went to Tom Mutei while Mir Uyao became the best marker with 36 points. NIC Bank managing director James Wainaina said they are dedicated to nurturing the golf talent in the athletic rich region.&#8221;We want to take golf to the next level in this region and create interest among the residents of Eldoret and it&#8217;s environs. You can see that the retired athlete Moses Tanui has already joined it,&#8221; Wainaina said.
