{"id":449354,"date":"2011-06-28T11:53:52","date_gmt":"2011-06-28T11:53:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/06\/28\/saccos-given-june-2014-deadline\/"},"modified":"2011-06-28T11:53:52","modified_gmt":"2011-06-28T11:53:52","slug":"saccos-given-june-2014-deadline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/06\/28\/saccos-given-june-2014-deadline\/","title":{"rendered":"Saccos Given June 2014 Deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"31.4503075429\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nation.co.ke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/allafrica.com\/img\/static\/publishers\/minibanners\/nation180.jpg\" alt=\"The Nation (Nairobi)\" title=\"Visit The Nation (Nairobi)\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>26 June 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Nairobi \u2014 Saving societies with interest in providing deposit services have until June 2014, to meet all regulatory standards.<\/p>\n<p>This includes meeting safety measures that will guarantee members security of their savings.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Peter Gakunu, Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) chairman, announced yesterday as he approved Kilifi Teachers Cooperative Society to start offering deposit services for its members, at Sassra&#8217;s head offices in Nairobi&#8217;s Upper Hill.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mr Gakunu, the move by Kilifi teachers will see it launch its Sacco link ATM card and a website.<\/p>\n<p>It will be mandatory for all Saccos operating Front Office Services to deposit Sh10 million, which will be the guarantee for security of member&#8217;s deposits.
