Federico Macheda<\/a> has revealed he is eager to return to the Premier League, and believes that he will benefit from the time that he spent at Serie A side Sampdoria<\/a>, during his six month loan spell away from Manchester United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old made his name coming off the bench to secure a last gasp win against Aston Villa two years ago and joined the Genoan side in January to gain some added experience to bring back with him to England.<\/p>\n

“Psychologically it was not easy because to go from United to Sampdoria and to fight to avoid the drop was a difficult situation,” the Italian said to Sky Italia<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“I wanted to have an experience in Italy but now I want to remain in the Premier League. England is better suited for young players.”<\/p>\n

Macheda who is contracted with the Red Devils until June of next year failed to score in 14 appearances for Sampdoria in Serie A.<\/p>\n

“I arrived in Genoa with great enthusiasm,” he added. “The first few games the team and I did very well but after the defeat to Napoli, I did not find continuity.”
