Belet Hawo \u2014 Somali government official on Tuesday said that there are some elders who are held hostage by Al shabaab movement.<\/p>\n

Mohamoud Sayid Adam, a Somali parlaimentarin in Gedo region, told Shabelle that they have come to know elders trained by Al shabaab to take part in the battles against Somali forces and their allies.<\/p>\n

Mr. Adam noted that there are other elders who were kidnapped by Al shabaab fighters from their homes.<\/p>\n

He mentioned the elders in Al shabaab controlled areas can’t express their opinions and point of views.<\/p>\n

The statement of Somali lawmaker comes a day after Al shabaab proclaimed they completed training course for elderly men in Bardhere town in Gedo region in southern Somalia.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the parliamentarian stated they are ready to confront any offensive from their opposing side of Al shabaab anytime.<\/p>\n
