A home win by MTN\/FAZ Super Division leaders Zanaco over Red Arrows Wednesday will ensure they stay top in Zambia by the mid-term break.<\/p>\n

Zanaco host third-placed Red Arrows in a Lusaka derby at Sunset Stadium with both teams level on 22 points, but Zanaco enjoy top spot thanks to a superior goal difference.<\/p>\n

The MTN\/FAZ Super Division is back on with Week 13 games on Wednesday after a seven-day national mourning in Zambia in respect of the country\u2019s second president, Frederick Chiluba, who died on June 18 and was buried on June 27 in Lusaka.<\/p>\n

Zanaco coach Wedson Nyirenda will be counting on strikers Moses Phiri and Fabrice Mbimba to get the goals against Arrows.<\/p>\n

Arrows on the other hand will be banking on their leading scorer Dube Phiri, who ended his one-and-half month draught on June 18 to score his sixth goal of the season in a 1-0 home win over fourth from bottom Kabwe Warriors.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile at the Trade Fair Grounds in Ndola, defending champions Zesco United host Nakambala Leopards.<\/p>\n

Nakambala, a provincial team from the sugar cane growing rural town of Mazabuka in the Southern Zambia region, are fourth, and like Zanaco and Arrows, also have 22 points.<\/p>\n

They visit a Zesco side who are trying to get over third round exits from the CAF Champions League and later the CAF Confederation Cup.<\/p>\n

Wednesday\u2019s game will be a big test to Nakambala’s credentials\u2019 as league contenders especially coming up against the defending champions.<\/p>\n

\u201cZesco are a big team but we will not give them too much respect,\u201d insisted Nakambala coach Dick Ngwenya, who coached Zesco in 2005.<\/p>\n

Ngwenya will be banking on key striker Webster Mulenga on four goals to get a result away against a tough Zesco defence led by Zambia international Nyambe Mulenga that has conceded just six league goals.<\/p>\n

Zesco, on the other hand, will continue to be without striker Alfred Luputa, who has been out since late April and was his team\u2019s key striker in Africa where he scored four goals in their CAF club campaign.<\/p>\n

And in the rest of the day\u2019s games, second-placed Power Dynamos\u00a0 visit Kabwe Warriors while fifth positioned Konkola Blades visit bottom and 16th-placed Kalewa at Musa Kasonka Stadium in Ndola.<\/p>\n

Ndola will be bubbling with action in Week 13 with Forest Rangers hosting Nchanga Rangers at Dola Hill in one of three games taking place in the city.<\/p>\n

In Kitwe, Linos Makwaza’s Nkana host Roan United in a mid-table clash, while in Lusaka fifth from bottom Nkwazi host fellow strugglers Green Eagles, who are two places below them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
