Its power is supplied through a diesel generator, which is shut down every night at 22h00.<\/p>\n<p>The diesel-powered generator operates for 16 hours per day.<\/p>\n<p>The regional council charges consumers N$4.50 per unit.<\/p>\n<p>By September 2010, the council recorded an outstanding N$6.2 million debt by credit meter clients.<\/p>\n<p>National grid electrification for Tsumkwe was estimated at between N$80 million and N$90 million last year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The project will be operating all essential loads for 24 hours, and will be operated and maintained by the Otjozondjupa Regional Council. It will supported by an independent service provider.
