He\/she works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and project staff in the CO and UNDP HQs staff for resolving complex procurement-related issues and information exchange.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implementation of operational strategies<\/li>\n<li>Organization of procurement processes<\/li>\n<li>Implementation of sourcing strategy<\/li>\n<li>Control of CO Assets<\/li>\n<li>Provision of logistical services<\/li>\n<li>Facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div readability=\"7\">\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Secondary Education with specialized training in procurement. University Degree in Business or Public Administration would be desirable, but it is not a requirement<\/li>\n<li>Six years of progressively responsible administrative experience is required at the national or international level<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the usage of computers and other office software packages (MS\u00a0Word, Excel, etc), advance knowledge of automated procurement systems. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and\/or other ERM systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrates commitment to UNDP\u2019s mission, vision and values<\/li>\n<li>Shares knowledge and experience<\/li>\n<li>Ability to perform a variety of specialized activities related to contract, asset and procurement management, including organization and conduct of procurement processes, implementation of contract and sourcing strategies, reporting and control of assets<\/li>\n<li>Remains calm, in control and good humoured even under pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div readability=\"9.92753623188\">\n<p>Qualified candidates are requested to send their application marked <strong>\u201cPROCUREMENT ASSOCIATE\u201d<\/strong> with supporting resume including telephone numbers and email addresses to the address below:<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>The Human Resource Unit<br \/>U.N.D.P.
