Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\nAfter an inconsistent campaign, the Baggies ultimately finished in 11th place, helped by a strong finish to the season, and Reid is hoping Roy Hodgson\u2019s men can start the season where they left off.<\/p>\n
“We’ll be looking to be solid all season, rather than start well, tail off badly, and have to finish well,” he said according to the club\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n
“Hopefully we can be more consistent throughout the season.<\/p>\n
“We’ve got good players and hopefully we can strengthen further.<\/p>\n
“We finished mid-table comfortably last season.<\/p>\n
“The head coach has said he wants to get rid of the yo-yo tag for the club.<\/p>\n
“It’s important we stay in the league next season and establish the club as a solid Premier League outfit.<\/p>\n
“I’ve got full confidence we’re going to do that.<\/p>\n
“We had a great end to the season and the aim for us has got to be, first and foremost survival, and then I’m sure we’re more than capable of kicking on next season.”<\/p>\n
West Brom picked up some impressive results last season, beating Everton home and away, as well as victories over Arsenal and Liverpool, while they were also the only side to depart Old Trafford with a point.<\/p>\n
However, Reid insists that avoiding relegation is once again the club\u2019s first priority, and predicted another difficult campaign.<\/p>\n
“It is going to be another tough one,” he added.<\/p>\n
“Last season was a very hard season and went down to the wire.<\/p>\n
“No-one really got cut adrift at the bottom of the league like previous years when teams were in the mid-20s points-wise and down in February time.<\/p>\n
“We’ll be aiming to get to the 40-point mark as quickly as possible and then kick on from there.”
