Ghana FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kwesi Nyantakyi has admitted that the recent howlers by Richard Kingson might have forced him to personally intervene in the Adam Kwarasey\u2019s nationality switch, the Ghana FA boss has<\/strong> exclusively told GHANAsoccenet.com.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ex-Norway U21 goalie was earlier in the week cleared to feature for the Black Stars by Fifa after three years.<\/p>\n

The process of securing Kwarasey, whose father is Ghanaian, had dragged on for years as Ghana FA \u00a0officials in charge of his switch got frustrated over Fifa antics.<\/p>\n

But in his promise to change the dwindling fortunes of the Ghana teams, the Ghana FA boss personally got involved which unlocked the three-year stand-off.<\/p>\n

And to confirm the suspicion which does not take rocket science to figure out, the involvement of Nyantakyi has a direct link with the recent flaws of Ghana No.1 goalkeeper Richard Kingson.<\/p>\n

When asked about a possible link between the two, Nyantakyie told GHANAsoccernet.com: \u201cProbably!, Richard Kingson is doing well but time definitely calls for others to help him.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe do not seem to have very worthy substitutes for Kingson in the absence of his ability to play and so we need to hurry up to get people to come on board.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nyantakyi admits that the Stromgodset shot-stopper had long been pencilled down to be a key substitutes after several goalkeepers failed to give Kingson a run for his money.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis young man Kwarasey is one person who has been penciled down for this succession plan that we are putting in place andIi think we have to quicken the process of getting him to play for Ghana,\u201d Nyantakyi told GHANAsoccernet.com<\/p>\n

On whether jumping in to help quicken the process of the nationality switch passed as a vote of no confidence in the people who are usually tasked to discharge this mandate, the President added: \u201cNo, it doesn\u2019t mean so.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt rather shows the level of seriousness attached to it. There is division of labour, every one does his work and as a manager or leader you supervise.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut when things are not going as expected you have to intervene first of all to find out what is going on and to understand what the problems and issues are and that\u2019s exactly what I sought to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
