For all the latest reports and transfer rumours, visit our dedicated section here<\/a><\/em><\/span>Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> midfielder Wilson Palacios<\/a> is the latest transfer target of big spending Paris Saint-Germain<\/a>, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The Ligue 1 side’s Qatari shareholders held negotiations with representatives of the north London side but a deal is yet to have been agreed.<\/p>\n

According to French publication L’Equipe<\/em>, Palacios is now PSG’s primary target to replace Claude Makelele who retired at the end of last season.<\/p>\n

Antoine Kombouare’s side have also reportedly cooled their interest in previous target Blaise Matuidi, who was also viewed as a replacement for the legendary defensive midfielder.<\/p>\n

Palacios only made 26 appearances for Tottenham last season despite a strong run in their debut season of the Champions League and is believed to have grown frustrated with his lack of action.<\/p>\n

His contract runs until 2014 and with Tottenham paying \u00a312m for his services back in 2009, Harry Redknapp’s club will look to recuperate the majority of that money if a deal is to be agreed.<\/p>\n
