Akure \u2013 THE 83-year-old mother of the National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olusola Oke, has been released by her abductors 11 days after she was kidnapped.<\/p>\n

Oke told Vanguard that Madam Mariam was released in one riverine community in Warri, Delta State at about 3:30pm, yesterday.<\/p>\n

Police authorities in the state could not confirm the release of the woman as at the time of filling in this report.<\/p>\n

According to him, the kidnappers dropped her at a jetty in Warri and phoned members of her family to pick her up.<\/p>\n

Oke said that he was happy that his mother has been released after spending 11 days in captivity.
He was, however, not forthcoming on the issue of ransom.<\/p>\n

Although investigation revealed that the kidnappers had requested for N130 million before the release of his mother, it could not be confirmed if that much was paid before she was let off the hook yesterday.<\/p>\n

Madam Mariam Oke was kidnapped by five gunmen at his son\u2019s residence in Igbokoda, in Ilaje council area of the state.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
