Winger Shaun Wright-Phillips<\/a> is refusing to give up on his hopes of staying at Eastlands and ending his career at Manchester City<\/a>, despite having missed out on some of the team\u2019s finest moments last season.
<\/span><\/p>\n


The England international hasn’t extended his deal at Eastlands beyond the end of the coming season and both Bolton and Wigan are keen to sign the pacy winger.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old was not part of the squad which put an end to City\u2019s 35 trophy-less years by winning the FA Cup at Wembley, but he is convinced that he still has a role to play in Roberto Mancini\u2019s squad.<\/p>\n

He told The Mirror<\/em>: “It was hard for me last year when I was left out of the FA Cup Final team. I thought it might be the end, but I’m not one to give up.<\/p>\n

“I would love to earn a new contract. I want to stay here beyond the end of this coming season.<\/p>\n

“Since reporting back for training I have really got my head down and given 100 per cent,<\/p>\n

“I haven’t spoken to the manager. But it has gone well for me and I will never give up on City.”<\/p>\n
