The 1985 year group of the Accra Academy has donated an amount of GHS24,000 to facilitate the construction of a new computer lab for the school.<\/p>\n
The donation coincided with the 80th Anniversary of the school which has carved a niche for itself in Academics, Sports, and Entertainment.<\/p>\n
The anniversary was celebrated with pomp and saw several old students return to the school of \u201cno regrets\u201d- a school where their \u201clittle minds were shaped to serve our nation.\u201d<\/p>\n
After a float through the principal streets of Accra and to the old site, Ellen House, located at James Town, all old students converged at the school\u2019s premises in Kaneshie for a carnival of \u2018jama\u2019, and a toast of success and excellence.<\/p>\n
It was also an exhibition of cars-some of which were slightly scratched- an opportunity to link-up with old friends and establish new business networks, and an unlimited fun crowned with the lighting of a bomb fire by the Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority Alex Mould.<\/p>\n
Accra Academy does not lack in achievers; a school replete with dreamers; who have transmuted their dreams into realities and have affected the country Ghana in many unimaginable ways.<\/p>\n
Raise your cups and toast to success; to Accra Academy which has produced one of the Big Six, Ako Adjei, one Head of State, Gen J A Ankrah, two back-to-back Speakers of Parliament, DF Annan and Peter Ala Adjetey, uncountable number of Supreme Court Judges, seasoned journalists, great footballers including, Asamoah Gyan…<\/p>\n
On Saturday however, Joy FM\u2019s Bola Ray, GFA\u2019s Randy Abbey, NPA\u2019s Alex Mould, only to mention but a few, and who are all proud old students were back at home to reminisce the good old days.<\/p>\n
