The World Bank, federal, state and local governments in the country have committed N67.5billion ($450 million) to finance Fadama lll project in South East states, comprising Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states.<\/p>\n

Mr Obadiah Tohomdet, the Bank\u2019s team leader at the 4th World Bank\/Federal Government Supervision Mission in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, yesterday, explained that the World Bank had already committed $250 million to the project, while the federal, state, and local governments provided the balance of $200 million for the entire project.<\/p>\n

Tohomdet noted that Fadama III Project had also provided N1.2billion to finance 2,600 sub-projects.<\/p>\n

Of the 2,600 sub-projects, the bank team leader said 260 had so far been completed, while work\u00a0 was continuing on others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
