Rapper 50 Cent is no stranger to the best-seller list, and now he’s trying his hand at fiction.<\/p>\n
According to MTV, the \u201cGet Rich or Die Tryin’\u201d star is working on a semi-autobiographical novel about bullying called \u201cPlayground.\u201d<\/p>\n
The book is set to arrive in January from Penguin imprint Razorbill, and will tell the story of a 13-year-old bully who \u201cfinds redemption as he faces what he’s done.\u201d<\/p>\n
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, said in a statement that he wanted to tackle this project because he \u201cwanted to explore how a kid becomes a bully.”<\/p>\n
“I drew on events from my own childhood and adolescence, but was excited to see the story take on its own life,\u201d he added. \u201cThis book would have been very helpful for me growing up and now that I have a teenage son, it is my goal that this will have a positive influence on all teenagers.”<\/p>\n
Previously, 50 Cent has written a memoir about his rise from a drug dealer to a famed rapper in \u201cFrom Pieces to Weight,\u201d as well as a book on success with \u201c48 Laws of Power\u201d author Robert Greene called \u201cThe 50th Law.\u201d<\/p>\n
