Omar said the design of the existing dispensaries, most of which have only three delivering rooms, contributes to women giving birth at home which she described as a risk to their health.<\/p>\n<p>She called on the government to set aside more funds for the establishment of additional dispensaries and to redesign the existing ones to create more delivering rooms. &#8220;Mothers need privacy. The delivery rooms in our dispensaries are not enough.<\/p>\n<p>The number of expecting women keep on rising and the facilities also need to be improved to cope with the number,&#8221; said Omar.
