Hanna Wanjiru the mother to late Olympic champion Samuel Wanjiru has been charged at a Nyahururu court with assault and creating disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace.<\/p>\n

Wanjiru has denied the charges before the Nyahururu resident magistrate Caroline Obara who released her on a 30,000 shilling bond and a surety of the same amount. She is accused of threatening to cut her son’s wife Triza Njeri and causing actual bodily harm to her brother Paul Muturi.<\/p>\n

The case will be mentioned on the 1st of July.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
