The full marathon (42Km) has attracted 227 participants while the half marathon (21Km) will feature 957 runners. Over 140 kids are also expected to take part.<\/p>\n<p>The event yesterday got boost with leading internet infrastructure builder, Seacom donating Sh0.5million towards the event. &#8220;We are grateful that apart from being close industry partners with Seacom, they have come forward to support our running cause in Lewa,&#8221; said Safaricom Enterprise Business General Manager Sylvia Mulinge while receiving the donation from Seacom sales account manager for East and North Africa Michael Otieno. &#8220;We look forward to a more interactive working relationship going forward.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The marathon has gained reputation for being one of the 10 toughest marathon events in the world for it is held on a rough terrain and under harsh climatic conditions.
