Stoke City<\/a> chairman Peter Coates has refused to reveal any details about his club\u2019s interest in Birmingham City<\/a> defender Scott Dann<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dann, who is widely expected to leave St. Andrew’s club after Birmingham’s relegation from the Premier League, has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Stoke<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Liverpool and Arsenal are also reportedly interested in signing the 24-year-old, but Stoke chairman Coates has refused to confirm or deny a formal approach for Dann.<\/p>\n

Coates told The Sentinel<\/em>:\u00a0 “We have our eyes on a number of targets, but we are not going to disclose them.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are trying to work below the radar.”<\/p>\n

Dann has made 50 appearances for Birmingham City since joining in 2009 from Coventry City for an undisclosed fee, and has also made two appearances for the England Under-21 side.<\/p>\n

Coates also talked about Stoke’s opening six fixtures for the new season, which represent a tough-looking schedule as they face Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, West Brom, Sunderland and Norwich.<\/p>\n

He joked:\u00a0 “They look pretty easy games, in fact I have already factored in 15 points.<\/p>\n

“To be serious, I would always want an easy start, but my experience tells me to just get on with it because you never get what you think you will out of a group of games.<\/p>\n

“We will just have to make sure we are up and running and give a good account of ourselves.”<\/p>\n
