A resident of E-Town, the song will be officially launched this Friday 17th June 2011at Jokor West. However, MLK as fondly called still remains one of The rising Gambian stars better known for hardcore lyrics. His songs basically preach, entertain, educate and teache the people about the realities of life as part of his responsibility towards giving good and positive vibes to the people.

During a recent interview with What’s On, MLK revealed that he is proud to be a resident Ebo Town stressing that it is important for one to be proud of his or her community despite all odds. It would be recalled that the star recently released his much anticipated album called ‘Life is a Blessing’ which did extremely well in the Gambian markets. It features some of the Gambia’s finest artists. Since then he has been in the forefront in promoting his music internationally. According to him, he is currently working on this new single ‘E Town Project’, which he said, is not a full album but a single. MLK then expressed optimism that he will be working on many more albums later in the coming months.

ConstraintsMLK further revealed that one of the major constraints he is faced with as an artist is that he finds it difficult to make his albums reach some of his fans especially in the hinterland and the West Coast Area. “I find it difficult to let my album reach to some of my fans who are far away from the Greater Banjul Area and Western Coast Region, and they need it so badly but that I am working on that at the moment. Also, it will be necessary to have a glimpse of how the outside world will react to my music. I think it will be good to have tours and maybe do some learning or researches about music abroad.

He finally thanked his fans for all their support and urged them to come out in their numbers to the officials launching at Jokor Westfield 17th June 2011.

<fieldset>
<legend align="center">More News on allAfrica.com</legend>
</fieldset>

AllAfrica – All the Time

See more here:
MLK to Launch New Single

The Daily Observer (Banjul) Hassan Jallow 17 June 2011 Martin Lyrix King, widely known by his alias MLK, is on the verge of launching a new E-Town National Athem , a song dedicated to the people of Ebo Town and its neighbourhoods.
