{"id":442362,"date":"2011-06-16T12:28:27","date_gmt":"2011-06-16T12:28:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/06\/16\/ministry-told-to-keep-off-school-in-dispute\/"},"modified":"2011-06-16T12:28:27","modified_gmt":"2011-06-16T12:28:27","slug":"ministry-told-to-keep-off-school-in-dispute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/06\/16\/ministry-told-to-keep-off-school-in-dispute\/","title":{"rendered":"Ministry Told to Keep Off School in Dispute"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"35.4997146119\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nation.co.ke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/allafrica.com\/img\/static\/publishers\/minibanners\/nation180.jpg\" alt=\"The Nation (Nairobi)\" title=\"Visit The Nation (Nairobi)\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>15 June 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Nairobi \u2014 A parliamentary committee has asked the Education ministry to abide by a court order preventing it from interfering in the management of Aga Khan Primary School in Nairobi.<\/p>\n<p>But the ministry should also undertake a quality inspection of the school to determine whether the quality of education has been compromised.<\/p>\n<p>The Education team chaired by Mosop MP David Koech had been petitioned by the school&#8217;s Parents and Teachers Association over the tussle between them and the Aga Khan Education Services (AKES).<\/p>\n<p>A court had ruled in favour of AKES and the committee observed that, &#8220;the minister cannot stop AKES from interfering in the school&#8217;s management as the court&#8217;s ruling is in favour of AKES managing the school.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Further, a temporary injunction prevents the parents from managing the school and holding any meetings where the agenda impacts the running and management of the school pending the hearing of the suit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to the committee&#8217;s report, which was tabled on Wednesday, the land on which the school is built was leased to H.H.
