Chisom has just been offered full scholarship for a four year study by Harvard University, USA.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Victor Famuyibo, Human Resource Director, disclosed this during a courtesy visit by Chisom to inform Nigerian Breweries Plc of the Harvard scholarship, valued at $62,050 annually, and thank the company for being a part of her development and success.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Famuyibo commended Chisom for her achievement and noted that Nigerian Breweries Plc was proud of her and will stand by her all the way. He said the employment offer, which includes opportunities for Internship during her study and post study National youth service placement, was to ensure that she concentrates on her studies without having to worry about employment and related issues.<\/p>\n<p>Describing Chisom as a model and a worthy example to her generation, Mr Famuyibo advised her to remain faithful to her cherished principles of hardwork, determination and focus which have distinguished and set her on the part of glory.<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking, the Managing Director\/Chief Executive of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr Nicolaas Vervelde, congratulated Chisom for her sterling achievements and wished her well in her educational pursuits at Harvard. He said the company was pleased that its support for education was yielding positive results.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Miss Chisom Okpala had commended Nigerian Breweries for providing her an additional platform to discover herself, adding that her winning the National Reading Competition twice played a key role in her admission and scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>She said her visit was to thank and share her success with Nigerian Breweries Plc as a way of encouraging the company to sustain its educational support programmes, especially the National Reading Competition, so that others will continue to benefit from it.<\/p>\n<p>The National Reading Competition is organized annually by Nigerian Breweries Plc for senior secondary school students nationally as part of a broad initiative to support education and promote academic excellence.
