{"id":441866,"date":"2011-06-15T15:32:02","date_gmt":"2011-06-15T15:32:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/06\/15\/president-koroma-receives-prof-gbamanga-report\/"},"modified":"2011-06-15T15:32:02","modified_gmt":"2011-06-15T15:32:02","slug":"president-koroma-receives-prof-gbamanga-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/06\/15\/president-koroma-receives-prof-gbamanga-report\/","title":{"rendered":"President Koroma Receives Prof. Gbamanga Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"48.6007932804\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Concord Times (Freetown)<\/p>\n<p>13 June 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Freetown \u2014 Members of the task force on the implementation of the Prof. Gbamanga Report were Wednesday introduced to President Ernest Bai Koroma at his State Lodge residence, Hill Station in Freetown.<\/p>\n<p>The members of the task force were accompanied by the Education minister Dr. Minkailu Bah and his two deputies, Algassimu Jah and Dr. Lansana Nyallay.<\/p>\n<p>Introducing the members, the chief education officer Salieu Kamara said they were made up of well experience and mature people from the media, school administrators, civil society and universities, adding that their visit was to present the Government White Paper on education based on the Gbamanga report.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the Government White Paper no doubt must be implemented to its fullest as the intention of President Koroma was to rebrand education. He assured the president that the task force will not let him and the nation down and informed that both Education minister Dr. Bah and himself will be in Bo on Wednesday to inform Principals of the region that the Government White Paper must be implemented to the full.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the members, President Koroma first thanked them for producing the Education Report with its recommendations that were now due for implementation. &#8220;The future of this country largely depends on how you implement this White Paper. Our effort will only succeed when our human resources base is strengthened, as government has accepted a good number of the recommendations. This is a great responsibility on your shoulder because you must ensure its full implementation,&#8221; President Koroma stressed.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, most countries do not have the natural wealth that Sierra Leone has but and that they depended mostly on their human resource, adding that God has blessed the nation with so many things and so we need transformation. &#8220;We need a holistic approach to implement this White Paper. If we must move forward we must put money on our human resource in order to well position Sierra Leone,&#8221; he advised.<\/p>\n<p>President Koroma said &#8220;this is a big responsibility and challenge on the part of the members, therefore the future of this nation is in your hands&#8221;. He assured them that government will give them all the support to ensure that they succeed in their work.<\/p>\n<p>Some members of the task force include: Dr. Bamidele Sannoh, Judith Conteh, Davidson Kuyateh, Charles Mambu, Prof. David Koroma, P.V.
