Arsenal<\/a>‘s young defender Carl Jenkinson<\/a> has thanked Charlton Athletic<\/a> for the training he received during his time there, which is turn helped him improve significantly and make a move to the north London club.<\/p>\n

The Gunners revealed on Wednesday that the 19-year-old had made a move from the League One club to join the ranks at the Emirates.<\/p>\n

The youngster can play at right-back as well as a centre-half, and made nine first-team appearances for his former employers.<\/p>\n

“I hope supporters will understand why I can\u2019t turn down such an opportunity, but Charlton will always have a place in my heart,\u201d said Jenkinson, according to The Express<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“I will always be in Charlton\u2019s debt for the training they have given me since a young age.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m grateful to the club\u2019s academy and all the coaching staff, so I\u2019m delighted the two clubs have come to an agreement.”<\/p>\n
