Maktau Chief Chrispus Mnyika has said that only an electric fence will solve human and wildlife conflict in the location which neighbours Tsavo National Park.<\/p>\n

He urged the residents to embrace a fencing project from Maktau to Ndi which will prevent elephants from the park from straying into their farms.<\/p>\n

Mnyika said the Kenya Wildlife Services had made major efforts to flush out the elephants but they always came back after a short time. “The KWS has always done all it can to drive back the jumbos away but they always come back to destroy our crops,” said the chief.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
