AWKA-THE proposed missionary hospital, the Jesus Our Physician Specialist Hospital, Awka owned by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, was, weekend, destroyed by a land speculator who claimed to be the owner of the land where the hospital is located.<\/p>\n

So far, N50 million was said to have been spent in the construction of the hospital which was started some years ago.<\/p>\n

Members of PFN sobbed uncontrolably when they saw the destruction, yesterday. PFN president in the state, Bishop Eberechukwu David, alongside 400 pastors in Anambra State visited the scene, wondering how a sane human being could embark on such destruction despite the fact that the land was legally acquired.<\/p>\n

Eberechukwu told newsmwen in Awka, yesterday, that because of the level of completion of the hospital, hospital equipment worth over N150 million was already being shipped to Nigeria from the United States, adding that they were due for arrival in three months time and wondered why people should be taking the laws into their hands.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
